Gays & Lesbians Still Missing from Obama’s “Inclusive” Victory Speeches

Again I missed the words “gays and lesbians” in Obama’s North Carolina’s Victory Speech. Are we that much of a liability to an already shaky public stance on gay and lesbian inclusion? And where are we represented on the Obama Website?

I heard Obama speak in Indianapolis, a very not-gay-friendly place, and he DID include gays & lesbians in his speech. (Living in Indiana is like living in the 1950s, so I was a little surprised actually.)

Thank you Heather for that encouraging information. If Obama gets elected (and I hope against hope he can defeat McCain) I don’t want to be so utterly disappointed as I was with Bill Clinton, who so resoundingly embraced our community and then by his own hubris created an opportunity for “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” to come to light and the “Ban on HIV/AIDS Immigration.” Hillary can’t bring herself to support Gay Marriage either. Neither can Obama.
