This sign has been sandblasted off. It was a favorite sight coming up Hudson Street where it turns into Eighth Avenue near 14th Street. Sayonara.
How could they sandblast such a beautiful sign? Unbelievable.
I had a favorite sight coming home in T.O. - an old factory building by the lake with the sign “Victory Soya Mills” on it - I was so sad when they tore it down.
“Don’t it always seem to go
That you don’t know what you’ve got
Till it’s gone-
They paved paradise
And put up a “luxury condo.”
